Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is conveniently located near Lover's Point and the scenic coastal walkway. The rooms, despite needing some updates, are old but very clean, with fresh paint and new tile/grouting in the bathroom. The service is outstanding, with staff being super friendly and providing easy check-in and check-out experiences. The dining options are limited but decent with standard fare, and the facilities are well-maintained. However, the dining experience could be improved, and the building requires some work.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The location was amazing, right across from Lovers Point, making our Monterey experience perfect. However, noise from other guests partying and morning showers could be disruptive. The rooms were similar to others but priced higher, and the dining options were nothing special.
I was on the 3rd floor and found the journey to-and-from my room to be quite convenient. The work was in the living room, which was a plus, but I faced some challenges during check-in. The service left much to be desired with the staff making us feel like an imposition initially, although they did eventually address some issues promptly. The location was good overall, with great restaurants nearby, but the noise from a Triathalon disrupted our stay. The dining experience was satisfactory, though lacking seating at times. Overall, a decent stay with some room for improvement.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. While the rooms were a bit dated and lacked proper ventilation, the view from my room was stunning, offering a beautiful sight and soothing sound of water. The amenities provided were sufficient, including a fridge, microwave, hairdryer, and coffee maker. However, a remodel with newer amenities and an improved breakfast with fans or air conditioning would greatly enhance the stay.
